Buzz in B-Town had been strong that Imtiaz Ali is in talks with Kartik Aaryan and Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan for the sequel of his much-loved romantic drama, 'Love Aaj Kal'. Most of this conjecture came to light after Sara's appearance on Karan Johar's chat show, 'Koffee With Karan', where she revealed she would like to date Kartik.

However, a report in Bombay Times recently stated that Sara was never considered for the part and that Kiara Advani has been offered the role opposite Kartik, instead. The mere thought of seeing them together had got their fans excited. But, Kiara put an end to all the speculations on Wednesday as she took to her Twitter account to negate the rumours. 

"One of the leading news paper claims that I have been roped in for Imtiaz Sir's next.. While I wish the news was true, I'd like to clarify that it's not. I have not been approached for this film," she wrote.

As per reports, Imtiaz Ali wants the movie to be distincly different from 'Love Aaj Kal' and is still working on the script. 

A source had earlier informed DNA After Hrs, “It’s another unique love story, which will invariably have a slight travelogue flavour, like all Imtiaz films. He wanted a new actress opposite Kartik. He had seen a few rushes of Kedarnath and felt Sara has a great screen presence and is good at delivering dialogues. He approached her with the script and the newbie liked the idea.”

“They sat for narrations. Now, the star daughter, who has a strong role in the romantic drama, has finally given her nod. The modalities are being worked out. She will start the film next year after both her movies — Kedarnath and Simmba — release next month,” the source added.
