AutoComplete: BMW might be developing a hybrid i8-based supercar
Transcript
Here's what's making news on Road Show.
BMW makes a lot of fast cars, but it hasn't made a real super car since the early 1980's, when it released the M1.
That might be about to change, though, if rumors are to be believed, because the word round the campfire is that those crazy Bavarians are developing an I8-based hybrid super car with double the power of a standard I8 that would probably compete with cars from McClaren, for example.
And it could be on sale as early as 2023.
When GM's president Dan Oman left to head things up at Cruise automation, it left the General with a pretty big vacancy to fill.
Thankfully they had someone in mind because GM announced that Mark Reuss will take the position.
Reuss was most recently named executive vice president of global product planning for Cadillac, so this is a pretty big jump for him and kind of a family tradition, since his dad was also at one point GM's president.
The Hyundai motor group is planning on going a little crazy in 2019.
More than 13 models debuts slated between Genesis, Hyundai and Kia.
We're especially looking forward to the new Sonata which should finally have its own unique look according to Hyundai designer Chris Chapman.
And the forthcoming Genesis SUV which, if it looks like 2017s GV80 concept Promises to be certifiably rad.
