2020 Lamborghini Huracan Teased, Gets New Tech, More Power

Lamborghini is working on a facelifted Huracán and the automaker has reportedly released the first teaser images on their smartphone app.

While the app is invite only, Auto Express was able to grab two images of the car. They aren’t very revealing, but the pictures show the model will have revised headlights with reshaped LED daytime running lights. We can also get a glimpse of the car’s new front bumper which appears more aggressive than the one used on the current model.

Additional details are hard to make out, but the front air intakes feature angular styling elements. The side scoops have also been updated as they have gloss black accents and a new horizontal fin.

The styling changes are hard to see in the teaser images, but spy photos give us a better look at what to expect. Besides the aforementioned modifications, the 2020 Huracán will have a new rear end which features a dual exhaust system. Fans can also expect a new rear diffuser and additional vents.

Exterior styling changes won’t be the only updates as the cabin is slated to step into the 21st century thanks to a touchscreen infotainment system with a portrait orientation. Little is known about it, but previous pictures have suggested it will be used to replace at least 23 different buttons and three control knobs.

Performance specifications remain unconfirmed, but the car’s 5.2-liter V10 engine will likely receive a power boost. It currently produces 601 hp (449 kW / 610 PS) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque which enables the model to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 201 mph (325 km/h).

While the exact numbers remain a mystery, the 2019 Audi R8 Performance recently received an updated V10 engine that develops 620 PS (611 hp / 456 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque. As a result, we can expect the 2020 Lamborghini Huracán to match or exceed those numbers.
