Australian woman harassed, robbed in hotel party

Representative imageALLAHABAD: A woman tourist from Australia was allegedly sexually harassed, beaten up and robbed by a hotel owner and his friends during a New Year's party in Allahabad, UP, on Tuesday. The tourist on Wednesday lodged an FIR against the accused, all of whom are on the run.
Civil Lines inspector Shiv Mangal Singh said the accused hotel owner, Saurabh Srivastava, had arranged the party in his hotel. The complainant had attended it with a friend. According to the complaint, the accused touched her inappropriately during the event.
"When she and her friend objected, Saurabh called his friends who tried to outrage her modesty, robbed her jewellery and beat her friend," said Singh, adding that raids were on to nab the accused persons.
