Thieves strike in Panchkula's Sector 12, take away Rs 25,000

PANCHKULA: Unknown miscreants stole Rs 25,000, along with gold ornaments, from a house located in Sector 12-A, Panchkula, on Tuesday night. The exact total losses incurred are yet to be estimated.


In his complaint, Ravi Singh Guleria, who hails from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and presently has been living in Panchkula, said that he with his family had gone to Zirakpur for shopping at around 6.30pm on Tuesday. On returning at 8.50pm, he found that the lock of his bathroom door, which was next to their main door and allowed inner connectivity, had been broken.


On checking the house, he found that Rs 25,000 kept in the almirah, two gold chains, three gold rings, gold earrings, two gold bangles, a diamond earring, a gold locket and an MI Note 3 phone was missing. Ravi called up the cops, who registered a case under relevant sections of IPC in Sector 14 police station.
