NOIDA: In an effort to bring senior managers of private companies on one platform and create a positive business environment, the Greater Noida Industrial Authority (GNIDA) is planning to set up a forum of CEOs. The forum would help share ideas which could be used to improve the city’s living experience, said officials.

Narendra Bhooshan, the CEO of GNIDA, said many companies, manufacturing units and academic institutions had set up base in Greater Noida over the years. “There is immense intellectual capital in the city. We are trying to create a conducive business environment. The CEOs’ forum will be a platform for senior officials of companies to express issues they may be having and give ideas. The issues will be discussed to find solutions,” he said.

“The business heads are exposed to the global business environment and various projects implemented in foreign countries. They are aware of issues and solutions implemented in foreign countries. They can suggest the ideas and measures to be taken to improve services in Greater Noida,” Bhooshan said.

Sudhir Shrivastava, vice-president of Noida Entrepreneurship Association (NEA), said it was a good initiative. “The three authorities were formed for industrial development. But there seems to be a communication gap between them and businessmen. The new platform will certainly bridge the gap and boost business environment,” he said.

Last month, GNIDA launched a similar initiative, “Friends of Greater Noida” seeking voluntary participation from professionals to provide expertise and guidance in implementation of various projects and activities. This aims to engage working and retired professionals to join in collaborative service.
