Netflix is kicking off 2019 with a trailer for the delightful coming-of-age dramedy Sex Education. The show, which premieres Friday, Jan. 11, stars Asa Butterfield as Otis, the teenage son of a sex therapist (the incomparable Gillian Anderson) who ends up using his mother's tricks-of-the-trade to climb the dizzying heights of his high school's social ladder.
The charmingly awkward Otis, who has a unique relationship to sex thanks to his mom, reluctantly agrees to use all his unwanted knowledge to launch his high school's first ever underground sex therapy practice when his best friend Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and his distant, but obviously overwhelming crush Maeve (Emma Mackey) convince him it's a good idea. Of course, listening to all his peers has a profound affect on Otis and makes him realize that he should maybe start to practice what he preaches.
