Delhi: Employee held for theft as he forgets to log out

The employee, Jasvinder Singh, forgot to logout of his Gmail account from his office computer, which gave the police a vital lead about his location in Chandigarh. Jasvinder had collected money from a jeweller on behalf of the businessman and had absconded. He had planned to meet his girlfriend from Assam and start afresh.
The businessman, Gurpreet Singh, approached police on December 29, 2018. The police started tracking Jasvinder’s social media and online wallets to trace him but no transactions were found. While scanning through his office computer, the police found that he had not logged out of the Gmail ID and tracked the IP addresses being used to access it.
