The Sabarimala Karma Samithi (SKS) has called for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in the State on Thursday in protest against the entry of two women of childbearing age to the sanctum sanctorum on Wednesday. BJP State president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai said in Kozhikode that the party would offer support to the hartal call. Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said the Congress would observe a ‘black day’ on Thursday to condemn the ‘State-sponsored trespass against the faith of Ayyappa devotees.’
