KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal
There are a whole lot of undertones between these two. KL Rahul was given his India debut ahead of Mayank Agarwal. When Rahul was dropped, it was Agarwal who replaced him but before all that happened, these two practically grew up together in Karnataka. Now, they are reunited, and there is probably no better way for Rahul to get out of the rut than to open the innings with his buddy who is feeling pretty good about his own game at the moment.

No, the former captain or his brother have not suddenly joined the coaching staff or come out of retirement to save this floundering batting lineup's dignity. Steve Waugh's son, Austin, has been included in the squad as a substitute fielder. In the last match sub-fielder Peter Siddle was guilty of dropping a sitter to give Rohit Sharma a lifeline. Waugh jr. must be hoping he does not meet the same fate whenever his captain calls him into the middle.
