Spandana helps dispose thousands of applications
TNN | Jan 2, 2019, 10:31 ISTHASSAN: Spandana, a grievance redressal system adopted by the district administration on January 1, 2018, has completed one year.
Deputy commissioner Rohini Sindhuri said the administration received 3,065 applications, of which 2,755 have been disposed. The remaining applications will be processed within the given time frame, she added.
As it is web oriented, one can send the application fro m anywhere in the world using the software and the applicants can track the progress of their applications.
A woman in Kuwait had utilized the system to get her land issues in Hassan solved. The applicant will be informed about the case registration, verification, and settlement through a message on their mobile.
Most of the applications received and disposed belong to the department of revenue, police and zilla panchayat departments. The department of revenue in Arsikere received 201 applications, Arkalgud 175, Alur 210, Belur 180, Sakleshpur 115, Channarayapatna 201, Holenarsipur 160, and Hassan 208, in total 1,450.
Police department received 505, zilla panchayat 630, urban development department 62, department of women and child development 73, education department 82, health department 28, and other departments 235, in to tal 3,065 applications.
The DC organised a Janaspandana programme in all tal uk centres of the district last July and August and had uploaded some of the received applications to the software and disposed several applications on the spot.
The DC said that organizing Janaspandana programme in the presence of officials and installation of the software to clear the applications has helped the public a lot.
