Tencent Not Yet Winning Even as China’s Game-Approval Freeze Melts
The Chinese tech giant was left out of the initial batch of approvals. And the regulatory review process is expected to get stricter.
BEIJING—Regulators ended their freeze on new videogames approvals, though left industry giants Tencent Holdings Ltd. and NetEase Inc. out in the cold when giving the first group the green light.
