Two men killed in road accident
Jan 2, 2019, 00:31 ISTTirupur: Two men were killed in a road accident at Kamanaickenpalayam in the district on Sunday night.
The motorcycle carrying A Thangamuthu, 34, of Dharapuram in Tirupur district and G Annamalai, 29, of Namakkal district was passing through Solinganatahpuram on Palladam-Dharapuram Road when the accident happened, police sources said. “Thangamuthu was riding the two-wheeler while Annamalai was riding pillion. Thangamuthu lost control over the vehicle, and it skidded down the road and hit a car coming from the opposite direction. Both of them suffered serious injuries. Thangamuthu died on the way to a hospital. Annamalai was admitted in the the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. But he also died,” a police officer said.
Kamanaickenpalayam police have registered a case. tNN
