Bhopal: Kamal Nath, SR Mohanty to go for massive administrative surgery

BHOPAL: The appointment of SR Mohanty as Chief Secretary has given birth to speculations over massive administrative surgery. Chief Minister Kamal Nath would be back in Bhopal after his Chhindwara tour on Tuesday. Mohanty would also assume charge of CS on this day.

Administrative reshuffling would soon take place after their meeting. Academy of administration, director general, AP Shrivastava and member of revenue board M. Gopal Reddy would be brought into mainstream. Shrivastava may again be appointed as additional chief secretary, finance. Reddy would also be given charge of any important department.

Rajnish Vaish, who is posted at Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA) for a long time is also likely to be transferred. The postings of additional chief secretary, panchayat and rural development, Iqbal Singh Bains, additional chief secretary, health, Gauri Singh, additional chief secretary, energy, ICP Kesri may be changed.

Among principal secretary-level officers, assignments of Anurag Jain, Mohd. Suleiman, JN Kansotia, Sanjay Dubey, Neeraj Mandloi, Rashmi Arun Shami, Manish Rastogi, Deepali Rastogi and Pallavi Jain Govil may be changed. As far as divisional commissioners are concerned, Raghavendra Singh from Indore, MB Ojha from Ujjain, BM Sharma from Gwalior, Ashutosh Awasthi from Jabalpur and Manohar Dubey from Sagar may be shifted. According to information, all officers posted for long time would be transferred.

The officers posted in departments, where desired results are not coming, would be removed. Some collectors may also be transferred with the permission of election commission following the work of voters list. Prior to Mohanty becoming CS, collectors of around 32 districts have been changed. In some of these districts, new officers may be posted. Major reshuffling in the postings of state administrative officers (SAS) may also take place.
