of State of Railways on Tuesday said that the survey for construction of a new bridge over the near Silghat was nearing completion and added that it can be considered for inclusion in the Budget once the survey was completed.

The was speaking at a ceremonial function for flagging off a new train from Silghat (Assam) to Kolkata, signalling transformation of the middle areas through improved communication.

Earlier this month, inaugurated the Bogibeel bridge, India's longest rail-cum-road bridge over the river connecting Dhemaji and Dibrugarh town.
