A female driver has been caught up in a terrifying carjacking in Sydney's south after a man threatened her with a knife.
The woman, 52, had parked her black 2018 Toyota Yaris on Railway Parade in Kogarah when she was approached by the man on Tuesday at 10.25pm.
A New South Wales Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the woman was threatened with a knife near the loading dock of a supermarket.

He drove the woman's vehicle, with New South Wales registration plates YIY-53C, north on Railway Parade towards neighbouring suburb Rockdale.
The suspect with the knife has been described to be about 30 years old, 175cm tall, medium build with a short beard and tanned skin.
Police officers from St George Police Command were notified of the incident and patrolled for the vehicle without success.
The investigation is underway.
