Nagpur: Following complaints from residents to district guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the NMC health department imposed Rs50,000 penalty on Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC), Kalamna, for burning garbage.
This was informed by health department officials to mayor Nanda Jichkar on Monday during a review meeting over complaints received during janta darbar of the minister held in Mangalwari, Ashi Nagar, Satranjipura and Lakadganj zones.

The NMC has also issued a notice under Municipal Solid Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2000, the officer informed.
