I was underwhelmed by your story about Fall River and Bristol County K9 graduates.

Of course, we all love cute dogs, and the rigorous training they are put through may well be helpful in making our communities safe. But to publish a piece without a single shred of evidence, basing the alleged positive effects of the training on the words of the very people who approve the program, like Sheriff Tom Hodgson, is a bit too much.

Don't you require those in authority to justify their opinions with some kind of evidence? Do they have a special status that entitles them to assert whatever they please without backing up a single detail with facts? Come on. Let's have a little journalistic integrity here and not just another fluff piece.

Those in power should be held to the same standards you demand from ordinary people. Give your opinion, but back it up with some tangible evidence.
