RBA to hold four-day property show in city

Rajkot: After a gap of five years, the Rajkot Builders Association (RBA) is organizing a four-day properties exhibition beginning January 4.
Over 200 properties, residential and commercial, will be on a display at the exhibition at Race Course ground. The properties will be in the price range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 3 crore.
According to RBA office-bearers, most of the property in the exhibition will be those coming up in in the city and on the outskirts. Some properties from Jamnagar and Junagadh will also be on a display. Five big real estate companies from Ahmedabad are also taking part in this show.
Along with affordable housing, buyers can get a glimpse into the high-end real estate schemes coming up in the western part of the city and newly developed areas like New Ring Road, Mota Mauva, Mavdi, Munjka and Nana Mauva.
RBA president Paresh Gajera said, “This property show is aimed at attracting those who want to purchase houses or commercial establishments. We will also have stalls of interior designers for those who have already purchased properties.”
Dilip Ladani, a member of RBA, said, “We decided to display real estate schemes of other cities of Saurashtra and Ahmedabad toio because there are many citizens interesting in investing in other cities.”
RBA’s vice president Y B Rana said, “We want to abolish the use of cash in real estate, but it’s not possible because of high tax rate. There is 12% GST and 6% stamp duty on real estate. We have been demanding abolition of stamp duty after implementation of GST.”
