The Mandram will build houses made of cement with tile roofing for the families who have lost their thatched huts to the strong winds.
The Rajini Makkal Mandram has been engaged in relief efforts since the cyclone hit the Delta districts.
The 68-year-old is currently in the USA on holidays with his family.
However, he is expected to be spending some of his time meeting Rajini Makkal Mandram representatives in North America and discuss with potential allies ahead of launching his political party.
The actor-politician is scheduled to be back in a week.
An announcement signed by the Mandram’s chief coordinator VM Sudhakar said that the Rajini Makkal Mandram will contribute to building 15 homes at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh each for families that have lost their homes to the devastating cyclone that struck the Delta districts in November.
