'She’s a beautiful girl': Police have 'serious concerns' for missing teen

Police are appealing for the public's assistance to find a girl believed to be missing in Sydney.

Angelina Chakovski was dropped off at Perth airport about 1am on Monday to catch a flight to Melbourne, NSW Police said.

The 15-year-old was then expected to catch another flight to Merimbula on NSW's South Coast.

However, Angelina’s mum Karen Nelson said police discovered she bought a ticket to Sydney.

“Police tracked her via security cameras and confirmed that she landed at 11.25am and went to the train station at the airport,” Ms Nelson said.

Authorities hold "serious concerns" for her welfare and believe she may be around the Hurstville area.

"The fact that she was alone makes me really concerned," Ms Nelson said. "She’s a beautiful girl. I just want to know that she safe."

Ms Chakovski, who also goes by the surname Nelson, is described as being Caucasian in appearance and 160cm to 170cm tall.

She was last seen wearing black pants, black shoes and a black singlet with “amour” in white letters printed on the front.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
