Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Bhagwat Katha was launched with Kalash Yatra in from Manokameshvari Devi Temple located in Nehru Nagar on Sunday. In this procession, women and girls were walking with Kalash (Jar) carrying on their heads. On the way, people welcomed the procession while sprinkling flowers and paying homage.
Procession reached the temple while roaming from different places. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister PC Sharma, Rakesh Chaturvedi, Rajendra Tiwari, KPS Rathore etc. paid homage.
According to program organizer Ajay Pandey, on the first day Acharya Manoj Awasthi pervade the importance of Bhagwat Katha. This narration will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm, under the aegis of Bhopal Metropolitan Citizen Forum.
