The loco pilot applied brakes on seeing the lion on the tracksRAJKOT: A loco pilot of a goods train saved a lion by applying emergency brakes in the nick of time on Saturday.
When the train was going towards Pipavav, between Liliya and Pipavav in Amreli district, the loco pilot saw a lion on the tracks about 1km away. He immediately applied emergency brakes and halted the train.
In December, three lions were run over by a goods train on the same route. tnn
