Become A VW SUV Expert With This In-Depth Comparison Of All Its Euro Models

The expansion of Volkswagen’s SUV lineup has accelerated in recent years and as a result, the automaker now has five models available in Europe.

Okay, some might say there are actually four SUVs because the Tiguan and the Tiguan Allspace are essentially the same vehicles with different wheelbases. Even so, VW pretty much covers all the relevant segment in Europe, especially with the reveal of the T-Cross small SUV earlier this year.

The SUV onslaught will continue in the coming years, with VW saying that half of its passenger cars worldwide will be SUVs by 2025. As “the largest SUV offensive in the company’s history” continues, the automaker estimates it will offer more than 30 SUVs worldwide by 2025.

Until that happens, Autogefühl decided to give us a comprehensive look at VW’s European SUV lineup, analyzing the T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and Touareg in the utmost detail. Just plan your day carefully because the video lasts almost two hours!

Obviously, we were most interested in VW’s newest model, the T-Cross. The video does offer a detailed look at the vehicle’s interior and it seems that the Polo-based crossover offers a reasonable amount of space for its size — even in the back. The luggage compartment is big enough too, and that’s partly due to the lack of an AWD system.

Additionally, the reviewer was impressed by the seats, which are apparently more comfortable than those in the Seat Arona. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t include driving impressions since VW still has those under embargo.
