Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is fighting pancreatic cancer, visited the State Secretariat in Panaji for the first time in the last four months. He was welcomed with loud cheers as he entered the government building. CM Parrikar held meeting with his cabinet colleagues and officials at the state secretariat in Porvorim. Parrikar last attended office in August 2018, after which he was shifted to Mumbai for treatment. Although the former Defence Minister has made some rare appearances since his treatment started. The BJP leadership even came under fire for not relieving him from the chief minister post, as the Opposition accused the party of trying to keep hold of power in Goa.
