D-Street Buzz: Metals continue to outperform led by JSW Steel; Muthoot Finance hits new 52-week high

The breadth of the market favoured the advances with 1038 stocks advancing and 609 declining while 432 remained unchanged. On the BSE, 1367 stocks advanced, 912 declined and 130 remained unchanged.

The Indian benchmark indices have shed almost all morning gains and were trading flat  with the Nifty50 up 6 points, trading at 10,866 while the Sensex was flat and was trading at 36,076.

Nifty Metal continued to outperform led by APL Apollo, Hindustan Copper, Hindalco Industries, JSPL, SAIL, NALCO, JSW Steel, Tata Steel and Vedanta.

From the pharma space, Aurobindo Pharma, Divis Labs, Piramal Enterprises and Cadila Healthcare were the top gainers.

Selective real estate stocks were buzzing led by Prestige Estates, Sobha, Unitech and Brigade Enterprises.

Nifty Energy was trading in the red dragged by NTPC, ONGC and Reliance Industries.

The top gainers from NSE include JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta and Indiabulls Housing Finance while the top losers included Bharti Infratel, NTPC, Reliance Industries, HDFC and ONGC.

The most active stocks were Reliance Industries, Titan Company, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Steel and Bajaj Finance.

Bata India, Muthoot Finance, Commercial Engineers & Body Builders, Proseed India and SPL Industries have hit new 52-week high on NSE in this morning session.

34 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like Adhunik Metaliks, Bombay Rayon Fashions, GTL Infrastructure, Igarashi Motors, Mcnally Bharat Engineering, Ramkrishna Forgings, Rolta India, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company and Zicom Electronic Security among others.
