Pictorial tributes were paid to the late Union Minister Ananth Kumar in Bengaluru on Sunday. A three-day event, organised by the NGO Adamya Chetana, began on the National High School Grounds on Sunday. Over 1,000 pictures which captured the BJP leader’s journey, right from childhood to his end, were displayed. Sunday’s event was titled ‘Chitra namana’ (tributes through pictures). Monday’s event will encompass ‘Nudi and Geetha namana’ (tributes through speeches and songs), which is expected to be attended by various dignitaries, including writer Chandrashekar Kambar.
The programme will conclude on Tuesday with the mass singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ by around 5,000 people. A pictorial journey of former Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee will also be showcased.
