Ujjain: Krishi Upaj Mandi has revoked the contract of cleaning of mandi with municipal corporation in recent meeting of board members held on Friday. Previously mandi had signed contract of cleaning of fruits and vegetable market costing of Rs 3.10 lakh per month with municipal corporation but seeing poor implementation of cleaning and taking cognizance of frequent complaints of venders and sellers in mandi about the pathetic condition of premises forced the members to call off contract with municipal corporation.
Mandi president Bahadur Singh Bormundala informed that farmers and dealers continuously showed concern about the poor condition of mandi premises and raised objections against the digging of concrete roads of mandi by municipal corporation without the permission of mandi board.
