Indore: A team of State Quality Consultant on Thursday visited primary health centre (PHC) of Kampel to inspect facilities required for National Quality Assurance Standard certificate. It spent about four hours at PHC, Kampel to check facilities and asked the officials to fulfil the deficiencies.
According to nodal officer of quality control in government hospitals Dr Amit Malakar, “Certification from National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) is mandatory for every government hospital and three hospitals from the city — PC Sethi Hospital and two PHCs of Simrol and Kampel– have been selected.” Dr Malakar further said that a team led by State Quality Consultant Juhi Jaiswal reached Indore on Wednesday and inspected the facilities of PHC Simrol. The team inspected the facilities in Kampel on Thursday.
“The major issues marked by the team include boundary wall of the PHC, lack of staff and training of nursing staff. Major issue was that the medical officer in the PHC was not an MBBS doctor,” he added saying “We will resolve the issues at the earliest after which the team will come for inspection once again to issue the certificate.” Meanwhile, the team couldn’t inspect the facilities of government PC Sethi Hospital on Thursday as well.
