Parrikar reviews ongoing projects

PANAJI: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar Wednesday evening held a meeting with Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) chairman Deepak Pauskar, vice chairman Sidharth Kuncalienkar, managing director Srinet Kotwale and other officials and reviewed the ongoing works besides giving financial approval to many projects. During the meeting, GSIDC presented the status of ongoing projects and proposed projects before the Chief Minister.

Pauskar said that the Chief Minister has taken a detailed review of all the ongoing works and the projects proposed by GSIDC and also given financial approval to many proposals.

He said that the GSIDC will construct new bus stands at Margao, Panaji, Mapusa, Curchorem, Sakhali and Bicholim besides various other projects including upgradation of hospitals, construction of new buildings for government offices etc.

According to him, the estimated cost of a multipurpose bus terminus at Margao will be Rs 350 crore whereas other bus stands will cost Rs 100 crore each.

Pauskar further said that a tender for a new circuit road from Porvorim-Saligao-Calangute to Nerul-Betim costing around Rs 100 crore will be floated on Thursday.
