Newly inducted Rajasthan Ministers were on Thursday allocated portfolios by Governor Kalyan Singh, on the advice of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Mr. Gehlot assigned 13 Ministers to various departments, keeping finance and home to himself. Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot was given the portfolios of public works, rural development and Panchayati Raj departments.

According to the orders issued by the Cabinet Secretariat here, Mr. Gehlot has been allocated finance, home and justice, excise, planning, policy formulation, personnel, general administration and information technology departments and the State Bureau of Investigation.

Mr. Pilot has also received the charge of science & technology and statistics departments. Among the senior Ministers, B.D. Kalla was given the energy and water resources departments, Shanti Dhariwal the urban development and housing department, Parsadi Lal was given industries department, Lal Chand Kataria the agriculture department and Raghu Sharma, the medical and health department.
