Hunt for firms to build big-ticket infra projects
Shafaque Alam | TNN | Dec 28, 2018, 03:34 ISTGREATER NOIDA: The Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited (IITGNL) will soon float a tender to select a developer for a Multi Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Boraki railway station and Multi Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) in Dadri. These two projects, along with the integrated industrial township, are the early bird projects of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) in the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR). Shapoorji Pallonji Group is already developing the township in 302 hectares land in Greater Noida.
The transport hub will include a railway terminus, an interstate bus terminus (ISBT), and a mass rapid transit system (MRTS) station. The integrated transport hub would be of global standards, encompassing passenger facilities, commercial and institutional facilities, office and shopping complexes and hotels in neighbourhood. The transport hub will be spread over 412.7 acres, forming catchment zone for the transit facility. Narendra Bhooshan, CEO, Greater Noida Authority and managing director of IITGNL, said, “The transport hub will work as a catalyst for growth within the investment region by improving connectivity, accessibility, increasing efficiency and safety.”
Meanwhile, the logistics hub proposed at Dadri is envisaged to function as a dry port supplementing storage, aggregation and export/import of the industrial freight in the region. Bhooshan said that an integrated facility with all logistics infrastructure under one roof can boost the economic environment of the DMIC region. The project site comprises of an area of about 293.8 hectare.
