STF tracks down wanted criminal from Haryana

PANCHKULA: In a major breakthrough, a team of Special Task Force (STF), Rohtak has arrested a notorious criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head, from near Bohar canal in Rohtak.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the police department said that the accused was identified as Sandeep alias Sonu, a resident of village Mokhra in Rohtak. A country-made pistol and one live cartridge was also recovered from his possession.

A team of Rohtak STF had got an information that Sandeep was roaming near Bohar canal with an intention to commit a criminal offence. Acting swiftly, police team immediately rushed to the spot and arrested him along with illicit weapon.

He was involved in several cases of crime including murder of a youth in village Mokhra in the month of June. A case in this connection was registered against him at Meham police station.
