LUCKNOW: Passengers faced problems in getting information about the arrival and departure of trains at Charbagh railway station following snags in LED chart boards at platform 1 on Tuesday. The dysfunctional Wi-Fi internet service added to passengers’ misery as they could not get information on their mobile phones too.
Four LED screens are installed near the station director’s room on platform 1. They display the timing of trains, platforms and berth number in coaches.
Irked passengers complained to the station master but in vain.
“I had a reservation in New Jalpaiguri Express. When I arrived at the station, LED screen was blank. The enquiry desk told me that the train was late. I had to go back to the enquiry desk many times for the updates,” said Arun Kumar, a passenger.
“My train was scheduled to depart from platform 1. But there was a buzz that its platform had been changed. I went to see the information on LED boards but there was no display. I panicked and ran towards the enquiry window where I was told that there was no change in the train’s platform,” said Aniket Kumar Saxena, another passenger.
