A complaint was lodged with the cyber cell by a female professor of a reputed college of Gandhinagar after her photo, e-mail and phone number were uploaded to several porn sites by one of her students as an act of revenge.

As per cyber cell police officers, the complainant started getting random calls from unknown callers. Later she came to know that her photo, e-mail and phone were shared on several porn sites. After been mentally harassed for days, she lodged a complaint with the cops.

The cyber cell police have started an investigation with the help of the technical team, and they have started analysing the fake ids that were created on the porn sites and started tracing down the person behind it. Further investigation revealed that the accused was one of the students of the professor and he was arrested by the officers on Monday.

Interrogation revealed that around two months back, the student was scolded and humiliated by the professor in the lecture room in front of several other students. In order to exact revenge, the student created fake ids on several pron sites and uploaded her details to harass her.

Rajdeep Zala, DCP of Cyber cell, said, "We have arrested the accused and further investigation is on. We are not disclosing the identity of the accused in the matter as it may reveal the identity of the victim.

There have been several incidents were victims have hesitated to come forward to lodge a complaint thinking that their identity will be revealed. We ensure that at circumstances such as these, we do not disclose their identity."
