In a tweet today, railway minister Piyush Goyal, announced that Train 18 is now the fastest train in India. India's first indigenously built engine-less train, meant for intra-day travel, can cut down travel time by 10 to 15 per cent compared to the Shatabdi. It is developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at a cost of Rs 100 crore
