Ujjain: BJP’s local unit has started preparations for the upcoming General Election. A meeting of party’s rural wing was held at party office Lokshakti Bhawan on Monday. District media co-in-charge Pankaj Chouhan said that the meeting was chaired by district (rural) head Shyam Bansal. In his address Bansal said that former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpeyee’s birthday would be celebrated on Tuesday as Good Governance Day. The party will also organise a booth level programme ‘Mera pariwar- BJP pariwar’ from February 12 to March 2 and Kamal Jyoti programme on January 26.
The party would also launch BJP family drive from Marc 3, said Bansal. The party would also launch ‘sainik samman abhiyan’ from January 15 to March 3. The party will organise several other programmes to woo voters and publicise Centre’s policies. Jaswantsingh Umath, Dilip Modi, Shiromani Mehata and other party leaders and workers attended the meeting. The meeting was conducted by district general secretary Ashok Katariya and gratitude was expressed by Ganapat Dabi.
