The superintendent of K.C. General hospital has filed a cheating and criminal breach of trust case against a medical officer for allegedly issuing medical certificates for money.
In her complaint, Dr. Bhanumurthy said that when the administration came to know about the alleged activities of Dr. Sridhar S.T., a probe was ordered. During a probe by the vigilance team, he admitted to the offence and gave an undertaking that he would not repeat the same, the police said.
The police have taken up a case and have summoned Dr. Sridhar to ascertain for how long he had been issuing certificates for money.
“This is not only a gross violation on the part of the doctor, but also criminally liable,” a senior police officer said.
