Police concerned for missing elderly man last seen on Christmas Eve
Police are concerned for the welfare of a missing elderly man, and have asked anyone with information about where he might be to come forward.
Erich Steininger, 83, was last seen in Hughes at about 11pm on Monday night (Christmas Eve). He is believed to have been wearing blue and white checked pyjamas.
Police and Mr Steiniger's family are concerned that Mr Steininger, who has dementia and hearing loss and left home without his glasses, will not be equipped for the hot weather forecast for Christmas Day.
He is described as between 160-165cm tall, with grey hair and a slight to medium build. He shuffles his feet when he walks and has a slight hunch when standing, police said.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact ACT Policing on 131 444.
