NEW DELHI: Shares of
Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL) jumped 4 per cent in Monday's trade after the telecom
infrastructure provider won a Rs 148 crore contract to lay the telecom systems for Larsen and Toubro's Mauritius and Dhaka metro rail projects.

Under the contract, HFCL will not only install and commission the telecom systems, but will also train staff for it, the statement added.

L&T had also secured a Rs 3,375-crore order from the Mauritius government-led Metro Express Ltd to design and build an integrated light rail-based urban transit system in the island nation.
