A prisoner's escape plan came to a rather comic end after he asked a cop for a lift.

Well, karma is a... you know.

According to reports, Allen Lewis was being transported from Greenup County Detention Center in Kentucky when he managed to escape.

Lewis complained his handcuffs were too tight. As the officers were loosening his cuffs, he got free and eloped.

“It was a campus police officer. He (Lewis) thought he was getting a ride, and he did,” said Greenup County Jailer Mike Worthington.

Worthington said Lewis is now back in jail and is likely to face additional charges for escaping prison.
