The folks at GM Authority spotted a Dec. 11 General Motors trademark filing for the word "Enspire," which would appear slated for a future crossover. In its filing, GM said the name is applicable to "automobiles, excluding motor homes."
Buick's range of crossovers now is made up of the Encore, Envision and Enclave. A production vehicle called Enspire might be based on a concept by that name that debuted at the Beijing show last spring with an all-electric, 550-hp powertrain.
Still, if Buick does slap that nameplate on sheet metal, it will surely bewilder English teachers and copy editors.
