Twitter Outraged After Photos of Dead Pakistani Professor with Handcuffs Goes Viral
Professor Mian Javed Ahmed of Sargodha University was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in October upon charges of corruption.

Professor Mian Javed Ahmed of Sargodha University was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in October upon charges of corruption. He was being kept in Lahore jail where he recently died of a cardiac arrest.
After the cardiac arrest, the man was immediately taken to the hospital. However, he was declared to be dead upon arrival. While he was being carried to the hospital in the stretcher, the professor had handcuffs on his wrists.
This is what outraged many proponents of civil and human rights have attacked NAB for stripping the man of his dignity, even in death.
