Panneerselvam’s brother O Raja readmitted into AIADMK

O PanneerselvamCHENNAI: O Raja, brother of Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister and AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam, was readmitted into the party on Monday, just five days after he was expelled from it.
Raja was expelled on December 19 by the party for indulging in anti-party activities. Incidentally the statement announcing his expulsion from the party was signed by Panneerselvam and chief minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami.
In a brief statement, signed again by both OPS and EPS, the AIADMK on Monday said Raja had been readmitted into the party after he had expressed regret for his actions, both through a letter and in person.
A former municipal chairman of Periyakulam, Raja has established his hold over the party in the Theni – Periyakulam region thanks to the growth of OPS in the party.
