North West police have warned the public against taking the law into their own hands after two motorists were involved in a physical altercation following a collision at a petrol station.
A video that has been circulating on social media shows a blue Mazda knocking into a parked Hyundai in Geelhoutpark, Rustenburg.
After the collision, the driver of the Mazda steps out of his vehicle to inspect the damage.
While trying to find his bearings, the driver of the Hyundai approaches him and starts punching him repeatedly, until onlookers intervene.

Police spokesperson Captain Sam Tselanyane told News24 that the motorist "should have reported the matter to the police and should not have taken the law into his own hands".
Neither of the men opened a case and "it seems like there has been a gentlemen's agreement between the two".
However, Tselanyane added: "All matters that are crime related should be reported to the police for proper investigation."
