Both are located on ESI Hospital Road in Domlur

Unclean kitchens, mixed waste and rubbish not collected or kept in containers with lids, use of plastic that is less then 40 microns in thickness, and sewage connected directly to the main drain were just some of the violations found by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) during an inspection of Nandhini and Bhagini hotels on ESI Hospital Road in Domlur. Both the establishments were slapped with a fine of ₹3 lakh each.

The inspection was carried out by the BBMP's Medical Officer of Health, Shanthinagar range, along with the jurisdictional Assistant Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

According to sources in the BBMP, the hotels failed to produce the inspection book and the memorandum of understand with an empanelled bulk waste contractor. The hotels have not been segregating dry and wet waste either; besides, they had failed to obtain medical certificate for the food handlers.

During the inspection, the team also found that gas cylinders were not kept in a safe area, neither did they display information for customers about the provision of hot water for drinking.
