30-year-old man mauled by pack of stray dogs

CHANDIGARH: A 30-year-old man of Pichhian village in Haryana's Fatehabad district was mauled by stray dogs and his partially eaten body was found on Saturday. The incident occurred in area falling in the border of Punjab and Haryana, and his dismembered body parts were found in fields of Punjab.


Amritpal had been missing since Friday evening. His body was found by residents of a neighbouring village in dumping site for animal caracass, where a pack of around 25 dogs moves around. Cops, who reached the spot after getting information, identified the vicitm from the documents found in his pockets and informed his family members.


SSP Mansa Mandhir Singh said they had sorted out the territorial jurisdiction issue by Sunday and handed over the body after completing the inquest.
