Computer Baba (Namdeo Das Tyagi) has asked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to tender a public apology for calling Hindu deity Hanuman a Dalit.
Tyagi, a Hindu ascetic, held a cabinet rank in the former Madhya Pradesh government of Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the UP CM, Tyagi said that the two leaders are "anti-religion". He said if Adityanath did not apologise, all sants will protest against him.
He said he would even proceed to Prayagraj (Allahabad) to "warn" Adityanath for the same.
"The BJP is fond of changing names, so we changed the name of Madhya Pradesh government and replaced the BJP with the Congress," he said.
Tyagi said that he would protest against Yogi Adityanath on the day of Makar Sankranti after taking a dip in the Ganges.
Adityanath had, during a poll rally in Malakheda of Alwar district on November 27, said, "Hanuman was a forest dweller, deprived and a Dalit. Bajrang Bali worked to connect all Indian communities together, from north to south and east to west."
