CHENNAI: A police constable attached to the Chennai city police who devised a plan to trap his friend in a ganja case went absconding soon after his plan was exposed in a CCTV camera footage recorded at the Sankar Nagar police station.
Police constable Ramadurai gave 200 grams of ganja parcel containing dry ganja leaves to his friend Arumugam of Anakaputhur, who works as a mechanic, and asked him to keep the ganja pocket in the fuel tank cover of his friend Satish’s two-wheeler.
As per the plan, Arumugam went and kept the parcel inside the bag fuel tank cover. He left the place and informed Ramadurai. Later, Ramadurai made an anonymous call to the Sankar Nagar police station and informed that a ganja parcel was kept in a bag on motorcycle.
The police found the bike parked near the police station. They examined it and found 200 grams of ganja parcel inside the fuel tank cover.
