Two-day Aarogya Film Festival concludes

PUNE: The two-day 8th Aarogya Film Festival finally came to an end with the closing ceremony on December 22 at the National Film Archive of India on Law College Road. The festival is organised by PM Shah Foundation, a non-governmental social organisation dedicated to the cause of health awareness and preventive care. 

The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Marathi actress Devika Daftardar, who shared the dais with Advocate Chetan Gandhi, Director of PM Shah Foundation. 

The festival saw a screening of 38 films with the focus of creating health awareness among masses. The best three films in both the category - documentaries and feature film were felicitated with prizes at the hands of Devika Daftardar and Chetan Gandhi. A jury of three people - Chandra Shekhar Joshi, Anuja Devdhar and Dr Leena Borode selected the winners. Participants whose films were screened at the festival were given certificate of participation. 

During the ceremony, Advocate Chetan Gandhi said, “At PM Shah Foundation it has always been our responsibility to create health awareness among people and motion pictures are the best way to do that. Film-making is a tedious job and I want to congratulate each and everyone who participated.” 

During the closing ceremony, Daftardar expressed her gratitude for being part of the festival.
